3 Best Drugstore Foundations for Oily Skin (under $10!)

If I had to rank my most commonly asked recommendations, the best drugstore foundations for oily skin would be in my top three for sure. There are so many great options at the drugstore for every skin type but today, I’ve narrowed it down to my 3 top recommendations specifically for oily skin. The best part? They’re all under $10 and provide that beautiful matte finish without looking crusty or cakey.

Catrice True Skin Foundation

The Catrice True Skin Foundation is like a cousin to Estee Lauder Double Wear. It has that same fluid-like consistency with surprisingly great medium to full coverage. Like Double Wear, Catrice True Skin provides a semi-matte finish. However, it also has hyaluronic acid and watermelon seed oil to give the skin more of a natural finish.

This foundation comes in 20 different shades with a variety of undertones (I have the shade Warm Beige). It retails for just under $10 on Amazon and pairs very well with the Catrice True Skin Concealer. I find the best way to apply is with a damp beauty sponge.

Profusion Feel Good Skin Long Wear Perfector Foundation

The Profusion Feel Good Skin Long Wear Perfector ($8) is a new find for me this year and has quickly climbed to the top of my list. The buildability of this foundation is what drew me to it the most. Use just a little and you have a matte BB cream look. Apply another layer, and you’re ready for a night out. I haven’t tested the 24-hour claim but I can confidently say it lasts at least 8 hours on my skin with ease.

As much as I love a good pump in foundation packaging, the sleekness of this thin, squeeze tube is even better. It stacks easier than my rounder bottles in a makeup bag and stays cleaner.

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Foundation

We can’t talk about the best drugstore foundations for oily skin without mentioning Hard Candy Glamoflauge Foundation. At a just under $6, this is the most affordable option and just goes to show that price doesn’t dictate quality. It offers a hydrating, medium coverage finish without looking flat.

If you’re looking for the longest lasting foundation, this is the one. It’s transfer proof, water resistant and if set properly, will not budge. The doe foot style applicator makes it easy to apply mess-free. That said, you’re going to want to work quickly with this one because once it sets down, it’s not going anywhere.
